August 13 ~ Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For the protection and strengthening of the Church wherever she is persecuted.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ May terrorism in the world nd and bring blessings of lasting harmony throughout all nations.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ We call to mind all that is harmful in our nation and not in harmony with your grace, and ask that you make us the instruments of your love and peace.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ May we become aware of your presence in the everyday-ness of our lives.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ May your Spirit, which breaks down our barriers and celebrates community, be with us as we find the courage to create a place of welcome for all.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ For the grace to live by faith at every moment.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Louise Galassi and Marianne Jurich. We pray also for those who have died, including Mary Shelley.   Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father, our strength in trials, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
